VOV.VN - A highland market of ethnic minority people in the northern mountainous region is set to take place in Hanoi on the occasion of the New Year at the Vietnam National Villages For Ethnic Culture And Tourism in Dong Mo tourism area of Son Tay town, Hanoi from December 29, 2018 to January 1, 2019.
The highlight of the program will be pavilions introducing local specialties of the northern mountainous provinces. It will be a great chance for city folk from Hanoi to test their taste buds with something more exotic.
The event will offer an opportunity for visitors to gain an insight into traditional craft and experience folk games, and special art programs of ethnic groups such as Mong, Thai Tay, Dao and Khmu.
There will be unique performances of blacksmiths and brocade weaving artisans from the people of the Dien Bien province.
In addition, the organizing board will reproduce traditional rituals and festivals of ethnic groups from the northern province of Son La from December 30-31.
