Under the baton of principal conductor and music director Christopher Warren-Green, the orchestra expects to delight and inspire classical music lovers in Hanoi with all-time favorite classical pieces.

The LCO will play Mitch Leigh’s The Impossible Dream, Johann Baptist Georg Neruda's Trumpet Concerto, and Mozart's Symphony No. 40 among other compositions.

The concert is part of the Toyota Classics series, which has been held across Asia since 1990 to bring classical music closer to local communities and raise money for charities.

After more than 200 concerts, the program has raised over US$9.5 million for charitable activities in the host cities.

This year, the Toyota Classics series will feature concerts in Laos, Thailand, Brunei, Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam from October 18 to November 8.

Founded in 1921, the LCO comprises some of the top musicians and has a rich history at the heart of classical music over the past hundred years.

The orchestra has premiered works by many significant 20th century musicians such as Stravinsky, Bloch and Vaughan Williams, as well as modern composers such as Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, James MacMillan and Graham Fitkin.

Based at Cadogan Hall in London, the LCO runs its own education and outreach project called Music Junction, which brings together young people from a variety of backgrounds to develop their social and musical skills.
