At a reception for the Cambodian diplomat in Hanoi on August 29, PM Phuc highlighted the frequent exchange of all-level delegations between the two countries over the past time and the bilateral trade, which is projected to soar from more than U$S4.7 billion in 2018 to upwards of US$5 billion this year.
Both nations have accomplished up to 84% of the workload in land border demarcation and marker planting, and are gearing themselves up for the signing of two legal documents acknowledging the outcomes, the host leader said.
Their stronger tourism cooperation has helped to deepen mutual understanding and foster the traditional friendship between the two peoples, he added.
He praised the ambassador for his contributions to stepping up collaboration between Vietnamese and Cambodian ministries, agencies and localities, people-to-people exchanges, as well as multilateral external activities in Vietnam.
Prak Nguon Hong, in turn, showed his elation at the strong development of the bilateral ties and pledged his continued contributions to cultivating the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
