Online Friday 2019 is poised to be held on December 6 and will involve the participation of over 1,000 brands with discounts of up to 70 per cent to be offered on approximately 50,000 items while an estimated VND 2,500 billion is set to be traded during the day.

Consumers will have the opportunity to participate in the largest promotional event of the year via online shopping channels.

In addition, customers will also be able to get involved in various e-commerce shopping experiences in three major cities across the country, including in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.

The online event will bring together e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Tiki, Sendo, and Voso with the presence of several genuine manufacturers and distributors offering discounts in the fields of household appliances, technology, cosmetics, and fashion.

Dang Hoang Hai, Director of the Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy, said buyers will be able to find vouchers in order to enjoy great discounts at www.onlinefriday.vn.

Customers will have the chance to win themselves one of two Vinfast cars on offer sponsored by Alliex and Vinfast by taking part through the fan page, television, or the BifOff event.

Most notably, from December 5-8 consumers will have additional space for their shopping experience and will be able to enjoy the presence of more than 65 e-commerce businesses and manufacturers.

During the event, representatives of the Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy signed a co-operation agreement with e-commerce platform Sendo, whilst Voso also unveiled the opening of the national booth on the e-commerce floor.

In addition, cross-border e-commerce activities are expected to come into operation by the end of December 2019 through the national booth on foreign e-commerce floors.

It is thought that these stalls will serve as a bridge to support Vietnamese export firms sell their goods online to global consumers.
