VOV.VN - The 25th international medical, hospital and pharmaceutical (Vietnam Medi-PharmExpo 2018) kicked off in Hanoi International Center for Exhibition (ICE) on December 6, with 200 Vietnamese and foreign businesses in attendance.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong emphasized that the expo has served as an effective bridge and important trade promotion channel for both local and foreign businesses in the pharmaceutical field to share experience and expand markets in the region and the globe.

Attendees at the event will be hoping they can meet and network with similar minded people to create new business opportunities.

Mr Cuong requested pharmaceutical manufacturers and businesses at home and abroad to learn about market information, seek partners, and strengthen investment to promote trade exchange, multilateral and bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical field and medical equipment with the aim of bringing benefits for Vietnamese consumers and companies.  

Trinh Xuan Tuan, deputy director of the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising (Vinexad) said Vietnam Medi-PharmExpo 2018 and 2018 Busan Medical Tourism Industry Exhibition will be held from December 6-8 with the support of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Hanoi People’s Committee and relevant ministries and agencies.

Compared to last year, Vietnam MedipharmExpo 2018 has reached a growth figure of 2 0% in the number of exhibitors that have showcased their cutting-edge medical and laboratory equipment, pharmaceuticals, beauty and cosmetics products, dental products and medical tourism.

Busan Vice Mayor Yoo Jae-soo, emphasized that 2018 Busan Medical Tourism Industry Exhibition will open up opportunities for the development of the health sector, the exchange of patients between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea as well as turning Busan into a world-class medical tourism city to keep up with the world’s trends.
