VOV.VN - National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu received a visiting delegation from the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) led by its General Secretary An Yuejun in Hanoi on March 13.
At the reception, Luu congratulated the Chinese Party, State and people on the outstanding achievements in comprehensive reform in recent times, whist expressing his confidence that the delegation’s visit will contribute to fostering the friendship between the Vietnam Peace Committee and the CPAPD and between the two countries’ Parties and States.
The Vietnamese Party, State and people always attribute great importance to and desire to reinforce the traditional relationship and comprehensive strategic cooperation with their Chinese counterparts, the Vietnamese legislator emphasized.
He said he hopes the Vietnam Peace Committee and the CPAPD will step up practical cooperation through specific activities, for peace, stability and neighbourliness between the two nations.
Luu called for the two sides’ combined efforts to build a peaceful and stable environment, and actively cooperate at international and multilateral forums, thus contributing to regional and global peaceful movements.
An Yuejun, in turn, congratulated Vietnam on the tremendous achievements across multiple fields and its increasing international stature.
He also expressed his appreciation for the bilateral relations between Vietnam and China in recent times, voicing his hope that the Vietnam Peace Committee and the CPAPD will continue to launch practical activities as a contribution to further strengthening friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the two peoples.
