VOV.VN - Seven teams are set to compete in a national women’s football tournament, also known as the Women’s National Cup, with the winner receiving VND300 million in prize money, as announced by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in Hanoi on May 15.
The matches of the competition’s first leg will be held in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa province between June 6 and July 1.
Matches in the second leg are scheduled to be played between September 13 and October 4 in Phu Ly, Ha Nam province.
The winning team will receive VND300 million in prize money. The second and third placed teams will be given VND200 million and VND100 million, respectively.
The best player and the top goal scorer in the tournament will receive VND10 million each.
Thai Son Bac Electric Equipment Trading Company Limited will continue to be the main sponsor of the tournament for the 8th consecutive year.
Seven teams have made it clear they will have teams to play in the tournament, including Hanoi, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Son La, Ho Chi Minh City I, Ho Chi Minh City II, Vietnam Coal Mineral, and TNG Thai Nguyen.
