In addition to these measures, Quang Ngai province has also directed the tourism sector, localities, and other relevant agencies to strictly monitor visitors at accommodation facilities by requesting that they fill out a health declaration form in line with guidance provided by the Ministry of Health.
The provincial police department has successfully tracked down and verified both foreign nationals and Vietnamese citizens who entered Quang Ngai within 14 days as of March 13 and asked them to fill out the necessary health declaration forms.
Simultaneously, local police have been coordinating alongside medical agencies, hotels, and other accommodation facilities to put any suspected COVID-19 cases into isolation to undergo strict surveillance in line with regulations, whilst determining the travel history of passengers.
The provincial People's Committee has also issued a written document, requiring a closure of all tourist sites in the locality until further notice in an effort to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19.
Earlier, the province decided to put a halt to guests visiting Ly Son island – a famous tourist attraction in Vietnam – as from March 9.
